Adsense Terms and Conditions merry go round

Dear Google Adsense team
Thanks for your email pointing out that I must agree to your new Terms and Conditions or run the risk of having my account cancelled.
After wading through the document, it's FAQ's and related links, might I suggest you add two more simple items.

An ACCEPT and REJECT button.

I would hate to have to direct your email, quoted below, to your own SPAM filter.

Hi,

As you may know, we recently updated our AdSense Terms and
Conditions to reflect upcoming product changes and ensure that
they're consistent with policies across Google.

We noticed that you haven't yet accepted the new Terms and
Conditions. To review them and indicate your acceptance, please
log in at http://www.google.com/adsense and follow the
instructions. Please be aware that all publishers must accept the
new Terms and Conditions in order to continue their participation
in the AdSense program.

You can find more information about some of the changes in the new
program terms by reviewing
https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=81794
. Unfortunately, we're not able to further interpret the meaning
of the Terms and Conditions for you. If you have additional
questions, you may wish to contact an attorney.

We appreciate your understanding.

Sincerely,

The Google AdSense Team

Inside AdSense: Updated Terms and Conditions
Thanks to everyone who left a comment to report the Terms and Conditions email they received. Please know that our team did send a number of emails this morning (May 12th) related to the updated Terms and Conditions, and our team is looking into the issue that you've all reported.

We'll be posting updates in this Help Forum thread as soon as we have any more information. We apologize for the confusion caused, and appreciate your patience in the meantime.

Update 2...solved

Hi again,

The latest update: We've found that a number of emails were sent incorrectly to publishers who had already accepted the updated Terms
and Conditions in the past. (onlineebook, this sounds like your
situation.) To clarify, the most recent update to the Terms and
Conditions occurred at the end of February, and there haven't been any
changes since. If you already accepted the Terms and Conditions after
they were updated in February, you won't need to re-accept them, and
you won't be prompted to do so when you log in.

Our team will be following up in the next few days via email with
those publishers who received a reminder in error. I apologize for the
scare today -- thanks for letting our team know about this issue.

Stephanie

Update 3... Confirmation email.

Hi,

We sent you a message earlier this week reminding you to accept
our updated AdSense Terms and Conditions. However, the message was
sent in error, as our records show that you have already accepted
the new Terms and Conditions.

We sincerely apologize for the miscommunication and any confusion
caused. Please be assured that no further action is required on
your part, and you may continue to access to your account as
normal.

Sincerely,

The Google AdSense Team

Google Adsense with multiple ads

Just noticed that Google Adsense now sometimes serves up multiple ad’s in a single ad panel. Note the little scroll buttons.

If banner blindness is on the rise, I wonder who will be tempted to scroll through multiple ads.

Full marks to those unrelenting Google code tweakers.

Guilty or Not Guilty ?

GUILTY

The front page GUILTY headline and Image..

A FATHER has been found guilty of deliberately driving into a dam to murder his three helpless young sons.
A Supreme Court jury has just found Robert Donald William Farquharson, 38, set out to drown his children when his car plunged into freezing water and sunk near Winchelsea.
Little Jai, 10, Tyler, 7, and Bailey, 2, died on Father's Day, 2005.

NOT GUILTY

Same paper, same day, same time....

A FATHER has been cleared of murdering his three young sons after they tragically drowned when his car plunged into a dam.
A Supreme Court jury has just found Robert Donald William Farquharson, 38, not guilty of murder in the wake of one of Victoria's most heart-wrenching trials.

Moral to the story... don't believe everything you read. The Not Guilty story has now been removed.

Can't wait to see how they mangle reporting the pending national election.

Plus a little Google verification.

Guilty

Google's role in the Aus Election

Google 2007 Australian Federal Election

I question Google Australia's lightweight participation in our once every 3 year orgy of influence, bribery and bullshit.

I would far prefer to read their positions on key Australian issues like ...

  • Online Censorship
  • Access to and distribution of broadband
  • AWA's within the IT industry
  • The ACCC case against Google
  • etc etc etc.

I don't want more painful political YouTube links. I want to know the position of the Australian branch of one of the worlds biggest companies and why they have decided to get cute with the Australian political process.

PS: Happy 10th birthday Google
