My favourite News destination has begun conversion to a CSS layout.

The full site conversion seems some way off however this is a huge improvement on the old design.

"To create the new home page we first looked at the items on the page that were most popular (click through statistics), we got feedback from the New Media team, and we ran focus groups to see what audience members thought about the page.

We then set about designing. We conducted several rounds of user testing to see if we were on the right track."

The HTML 4.01 Transitional is within a whisker of validation as is the CSS.
