"Dear John" Hosting Letters Worry Me

Dear John,
I am pleased to announce that Webstrike Solutions has been
acquired by a new management team, the team at EasyCGI. EasyCGI
will advance Webstrike's services and support, providing you
with a superior Web hosting environment by migrating your site
to a new hosting architecture.

While I congratulate Webstrike Solutions I must say I will miss their fantastic service. More times than not I would receive an email about a problem before I knew there was one.
Will Kruss, Director of WebStrike, and his Melbourne based team ran a proactive, helpful, patient and professional service.

While EasyCGI may be the best thing since sliced bread, after years of hassle free value and satisfaction I can't help feeling regret that change is happening.

Well a 4% customer satisfaction rate for EasyCGI and reviews where people have lost busnesses do not bode well for this change.

I agree Will was a marvel over the years

I also host with Webstrike. Me and all my hosting plans will be completely easycgi free in a couple more days. Run away while your site is still up.

@GetOut
We are "getting out". It will cost us some money but to hell with it.

We are actually looking at having the sites hosted on servers here in Canberra. Will update where we end up.

Yes, I am leaving these bozos, very unhappy so far. Their tech support is clueless.
Unfortunately it will be a PITA as I have MySWL dbs to transfer oh well webstrike was good while theu lasted.

Same experience here. I was hoping for the best,
but it seems it is not to be.
One of my sites is completely database driven.
I wake up to HUNDREDS of errors on my site due to the database being missing/down/whatever.

Complete balls up.

RUN from EasyCGI.

Hope you get it sorted Ben.
It cost me 10 months of hosting fees, plus new fees but I'm glad I'm out

This is a follow up
I am a WEBSTRIKE victim
After way too much hassle I started moving my websites. I requested in writing that 2 sites be cancelled
THEY JUST WENT AND CANCELLED ALL MY SITES ..EVERY ONE OF THEM

I am looking for people interested in a Class Action Lawsuit. I will even be happy to setup a website specific to this in order to gather information

PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD AND LETS MAKE THIS HAPPEN.

I LOST ALL JUST ABOUT MY BUSINESS THIS WEEK

This is not just erratic rage this is REAL people. They went and did SO MUCH DAMAGE

I can be reached at alan.andrews@kitcofo.com

My recent letter to them

I CANNOT BELIEVE WHAT HAS HAPPENED IN THE PAST SEVERAL WEEKS. Your company has trashed my business.

I WANT COMPENSATION: MORE THAN $25 MUCH MORE !!!

To summarise:
You migrated all websites from WEBSTRIKE
You broke every account
You broke every email account login
You took on average several days to correct any CRITICAL issues
Your techs edited web page code to suit the workings without my consent
I had to visit every client both online and physical office site(s) and make repairs
I decided after these troubles and waitIng endlessly that I would start and migrate my sites to another hosting company
I specifically requested that you ONLY cancel 2 sites in the interim. These were:
gaycipriano.com
hvac-cs.com
You went ahead and cancelled ALL my sites that were already provisioned fixed and paid for
You have killed my business email accounts
You have deleted client emails & websites

You have broke my business in a time when things are hard enough.

I hold your company fully responsible for all these faulting actions.

I request compensation for my time and financial loss.

I have requested that someone supervisory contact me to discuss these issues in the past.
It is VERY OBVIOUS you have chosen to ignore my complaints and issues. Your company has blatantly ignore such throughout.

Maybe this has become a VERY amusing issue for you all to laugh about. When did companies start to behave this way???

This is a shameful disrespect that a company such as yours behaves in such a manner I am sure there are legal ways to overcome the damage caused by your actions and this may take time.

If am not compensated I am pursuing other avenues.

I will not let this slide I assure you.

I was just put on hold waiting for a supervisor the phone was disconnected after waiting 20 minutes

The nature of your business is like no other. This is VERY disgusting !!

Yikes... Alan, 'msorry to hear whats happened.
We are down some money but delighted that we jumped early, well we jumped as our sites were in transition.

Good luck with your planned response and I do hope you get ompensation.

Well, to have our accounts deleted from EasyCGI I had to make TWO international phone calls, at my expense because...
They have no DELETE ACCOUNT function.
They have a Don't Renew the Reseller account but NO delete any other related accounts.
Unbelievable. If I get an auto charge on my Credit Card, I'm suing em.

Worst experience ever! Broke both of my websites during the migration from Webstrike (they were great). Mine is sort of working now, but my client's no longer has an SSL certificate and does not allow for online trading anymore. Is my client happy? Ohhh no! This has been broken for many days and despite numerous attempts to contact these idiots via emails and finally via a phone call (at my expense from Australia), nothing has changed.

Here's the worst: They used an automated process to migrate my websites and the process actually changed my code in parts to suit their servers. They then have the gall to suggest that if there's a problem I need to fix the scripts myself because the agreement states that they are not liable for any issues!

Even worse: Because they were unable to transfer the SSL certificate across from webstrike (not sure they actually know how this works), they actually ordered a new certificate for me from RapidSSL knowing full well I already owned one when it was being hosted at webstrike. I specifically asked them not to do this, but they ignored me. I'm not paying for it and I will fight it, but even so, it hasn't even been installed! I have no idea what they are doing because the website is still broken! This has gone on for about 2 weeks now. Have soken to about a dozen or more people in support and they simply quote the usual lines "our support engineer is looking at it and will get back to you within 12 to 48 hours..." (And this line is quoted at the end of each 12 to 48 hours, so it never actually gets to a final moment)... Trust me, they are not doing anything because they appear to have all lost the will to be helpful (either that they are all simply retarded).

They are a NIGHTMARE! Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! We are pulling out despite probably losing money. It's not worth staying with these idiots. I hope they lose all of their captive x-webstrike customers and the deal goes so bad that they have to sack all of the staff that made such a mess of it all. The company that bought out wesbtrike is Endurance International Group, and I sincerely hope thay lose a LOT of money on this acquisition!

Hi Simon, I also had to make two international phone calls to get my sites cancelled from EasyCGI.

Though, unlike you I already had alternative hosting.
I hope your sites, and your clients sites recover from the whole shamozzle.
The move cost me money, but nothing else.

Good luck
