I'm liking the new version except for the much-touted smart search in the address field. I think the results are horribly formatted, it's very hard to distinguish at a glane one item from another or the title of the page from the URL. I also just preferred the old way of knowing what would come up when, for example, I typed "maps" into the address field I always got "maps.google.com" as the first result, now I get all sorts of rubbish with maps in the URL or title.
I've searched in vain for a way to turn it off.
Another annoyance is the new version of Firebug for FF3. It's an essential add on for a web developer but many of the best features have disappeared or been much complicated in the new version.
I don't mind it Miles. It's pretty savvy at finding urls that you have previously visited. I may be missing the point, but I thought that was it's key purpose.
Re turning it off.. I'm surprised there isn't an about:config setting.
The best thing about this version, on OSX, is that it hasn't crashed yet :)
Ok, after a week or so of using it I'm pretty happy with the keyword URL feature, I just needed to get used to it. I still think it could be formatted better, if a page has a long title and a long URL it makes for a pretty unreadable scan.
The changes to Firebug are the most annoying thing. I might revert back to FF2 just to get that back.
