Readers’ Photos: Polaroid Gallery
Some stunning and beautiful Polaroid photographs submitted by NYT readers. The gallery presentation is outstanding considering the number of photos included
Hundreds of readers answered our request on Tuesday for their Polaroid photographs, in response to an article in The Times about efforts afoot in the Netherlands to reinvent instant film. By the time we closed the submission gates on Thursday morning, 932 of your pictures had arrived. ... The quality of the work was even more impressive than the quantity.

Martin Puryear - MoMa exhibition

While nothing replaces being there, MoMa excels in online presentations that convey texture, scale, context and information.
Shannon Darrough, Senior Media Developer - Digital Media for MoMa, designed this site. I asked him about the interaction between the online designers and the Artist, Curators and the Exhibition team.
Shannon kindly replied…
it does depend a lot on the curatorial team. I haven’t worked with all of them, of course, but the ones that I have had the pleasure to work with have approached these projects in many different ways. Some have been very “hands on"; others (often those that are less familiar with the medium) give us a free hand in the concept and design.
Web design heaven!
Flash is the perfect medium for sites like this though I do wish they would use deep linking so I could direct you to the wonderful Walk through video.
Visit Web Designers’ Interviews for an extended interview with Shannon.

Marco Rosella's beautifully designed, marked up and recognised advocacy for horizontal Web design.
While not a fan of roll over actions and the lack of home buttons, I am impressed with Marco's generosity in providing a template download of his site and look forward to his gallery expanding.
