Is it Gmail, the Mac or Firefox?

I've reverted my Gmail back to the older beta as the new & enhanced beta keeps crashing/freezing the browser on my MacBook Pro.

It strikes at random and only when I click the Spam link. The only way out is a forced quit of Firefox 2.0.0.9.

On a happier note, thanks for that creeping capacity.

Update: I've deleted the Firebug extension to see if it helps.

I think the problem has been solved.. Gmail 2.0 Beta hasn't crashed once since deleting Firebug. One day isn't long enough but it looks promising.

Back to the drawing board. I have now deleted Gmail Notifier for Mac.
I am not confident!

Update: While none the wiser, this seems to have resolved itself. I'm sure it was the two recent and almost adjacent updates to Firefox but it could well have been Google tinkering with the javascript or maybe it was simply the Leopard installation. I havn't been frozen by Gmail 2 in the last 4 days.
