Murdoch Papers Steal Blogger's Content

Darryl Mason exposes Murdoch's own Klepto streak... Murdoch Media Busted Stealing Blog Content.

Movie director Edgar Wright (Shaun Of The Dead, HotFuzz, the brilliant TV series Spaced) wrote a beautiful, thoughtful ode to actor Edward Woodward on his blog earlier this week, and then today discovered his Woodward piece had been brutally re-edited and then published on the London Times website, and also in the print edition. Without his permission. Without linking to his blog. Without payment.

Rupert Murdoch's Really Silly Situation

A reasonable extract from Murdoch's China Speech.

The Philistine phase of the digital age is almost over. The aggregators and the plagiarists will soon have to pay a price for the co-opting of our content. But if we do not take advantage of the current movement toward paid-for content, it will be the content creators, the people in this hall, who will pay the ultimate price and the content kleptomaniacs will triumph.

Which you can subscribe to here. ( A Really Simple Syndication )

You can also subscribe to all of his many Australian Papers here. ( More Really Simple Syndication )

That's a lot of Really Simple Syndication from a man who refers to those who use it as kleptomaniacs.

Trust Me, I'm a Journalist

This is the still image the Australian Online used for Andrew's election chat.

Looks like he just stepped out of an all night bar in the Valley.

Murdoch apologises - Huffington Post

As the Chairman of the New York Post, I am ultimately responsible for what is printed in its pages. The buck stops with me.

Last week, we made a mistake. We ran a cartoon that offended many people. Today I want to personally apologize to any reader who felt offended, and even insulted.

Over the past couple of days, I have spoken to a number of people and I now better understand the hurt this cartoon has caused. At the same time, I have had conversations with Post editors about the situation and I can assure you - without a doubt - that the only intent of that cartoon was to mock a badly written piece of legislation. It was not meant to be racist, but unfortunately, it was interpreted by many as such.

We all hold the readers of the New York Post in high regard and I promise you that we will seek to be more attuned to the sensitivities of our community.

A Stupid Bushfire Question From a Murdoch Paper

Should stimulus package funds be used to rebuild parts of Victoria?

In two days, the Australian public have donated $30,000,000 dollars to the Bushfire Relief Fund, yet one of the richest media tycoon's in the world allows his trophy paper, The Australian, to pose such a stupid question.

Who gives a fuck where the money comes from? Just make sure it's put to the best of use in the recovery from, what is now, one of the worlds worst bushfire disasters.

This is a totally political question, because Murdoch's underlings will do anything to support the conservatives who have screamed that their reluctance to pass the economic stimulus bill is now in some small way linked to the bushfires.

The stupid question..

The answer such a stupid question deserves.

There is a time and place to play political games, this is not the time, or the place.

Meanwhile... it gets worse by the hour
