Yep, it should as this site runs on the beta version of B2 v2.
I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work. Good luck with it :)

I installed it (copy the folder, "install the plugin"), enabled it in "text renderers" and it still doesn't work. Did i miss any step? Please help! Im using b2 2.1.0 www.cat-tom.com

In the Admin for your blog have you....
1.
Gone to ->Global Settings -> Plugins Intall. Does "Thumbnail" appear as an installed plugin?
2.
If not, have you clicked on "Install New"? Does "Thumbnail" appear in that list to be installed?
3.
If it appears to be installed try going to the "Tools" tab, select "Misc" and click on "Delete pre-rendered item cache."

If none of the above fixes the problem, contact the author, via the forums....

One other critical part of the install is....

Attention: You have to CHMOD /thumbnail_plugin/thumbcache/ to 777 after installing!
