Getting strict

This site should now validate as xhtml 1.0 strict. ( with some limitations )

I was surprised at the fixes required to the base B2 Evolution templates with img tags not closed, missing alt tags, border="0″’s and poor structure for forms.

The validation will fall down on some pages as their content predates my interest in standards.
Those postings will slowly be edited and knocked into shape.

Key learnings:
Homesite is a great editor.
As is TopStyle
Moving to Strict is not difficult.

To do’s: Edit older content
cleaner css
cleaner xhtml
study Accessibility!!
