Mozilla.org goes live

Nick Finck sums up his thoughts on the launch of the new Mozilla.org site. His passion for the product drives his constructive comments.

The following are points I posted at the designers discussion thread.

1) Whats the real priority...Wired? NASA? or Firefox? Get the logo up there.

2) The support page just gives a bewildering list of links for all Moz products.

3) The site is guilty of doing a Microsoft. Best viewed in Firefox!
Its IE and Opera users that will be visiting, hopefully.

I think the main page should direct clients to dedicated product sites and hopefully reduce the decision making once past the main page.

I do hope the site evolves into a clear and powerfull driver for Mozilla. They deserve it.
I also spare a thought for the work that Dave Shea put into the previous original redesign.

As an update, the almost live changes for the site are beginning to show some real benefits.
The support page is still a bit universal but that also may well change.

Looking much better. :)

I also posted a comment on actsofvolition.com mentioning that there is no firefox logo on the front page. Common... lets get serious about brand recognition people!

Overall though, it's pretty nice I have to say.
